Scour Social Search Engine

Scour.com launched a new meta search engine called Scour that pulls search results from Google, Yahoo! and MSN and offers a mix of results from all these services combined. It provides a platform for searchers to vote on relevancy, share their feedback and connect with one another creating a true social search community. Members can also earn money simply by using Scour through the sites points system.

Scour's makeup is very similar to Google. It shows the search bar with the option to choose web, images, or video results. It's keyword typing also auto-suggests as you type. It's results show Sponsored links at the top and on the sidebar and clearly noted as that, sponsored links.

The search functionality is superior and at par with the gods' Google, Yahoo and MSN search. It's results are highly reliable and relevant. It's amazing how they were able to get the nods of the big 3 search engines as Scour uses the very search results of these three. Source (Retrieved on 02 Sep 2008)

Don't take our or Scour's word for it. Try it and see if it suits your needs!

Mansfeld's World Database of Agriculture and Horticultural Crops
The Mansfeld's World Database of Agriculture and Horticultural Crops is an online database developed at IPK since 1998, as a contribution to the project "Federal Information System on Genetic Resources" (BIG, www.big-flora.de/). It reflects the contents of "Mansfeld's Encyclopedia of Agricultural and Horticultural Crops" (Hanelt and IPK 2001) and contains information on 6,100 crop plant species, excluding forestry and ornamental plants. Each species entry provides nomenclature and synonymy, common names in different languages, spontaneous distribution and regions of cultivation, uses, images, references, but also the ancestral species and notes on the phylogeny, variation and history.

Top 10 Ways to Search Wikipedia
Wikipedia, which turned 7 this year, is a source of information for 683 million visitors every year. A poster child for user-generated content, Wikipedia has grown from its first year in which just 12 articles were created to over 10 million today in 253 different languages. That's a whole lot of content, and naturally, being able to easily search it would be helpful for anyone wanting to get the most out of the web's favorite encyclopedia. You could use the site's official search engine, or you could search Google for "site:wikipedia.org" ... or you could use one of the 10 alternative methods below (in no particular order).
